The Delivery & Pickup Scheduling tool is a plugin designed for WooCommerce. It empowers store owners by enabling them to integrate date and time selection fields within the checkout process. This feature grants customers the flexibility to pick their preferred date and time for receiving their orders.
This comprehensive scheduling plugin for WooCommerce enhances the checkout experience for customers, offering a range of customization options. It facilitates the fine-tuning of the checkout process to suit individual preferences.
Customers using this tool can select between two options: either setting up a Delivery order for items to be delivered to their location or a Pickup order for items they will collect themselves. The plugin’s robust scheduling features provide the flexibility to define specific days and times available for delivery or pickup services.
How Can Delivery & Pickup Scheduling for WooCommerce Benefit You?
This plugin serves as a valuable tool for various stores aiming to streamline their order delivery process. It enables customers to select their preferred delivery date and time, catering to their convenience.
Whether a store exclusively offers pickups, deliveries, or both, this versatile plugin accommodates all these scenarios effectively.
It’s not limited to stores selling tangible goods like food; it extends its usefulness to service-based websites such as taxi services or service providers. For instance, on a taxi website, customers can choose their desired pickup time, while on a service provider’s website, they can schedule the arrival time for services like plumbing.
WooCommerce Checkout Calendar Plugin: The Delivery & Pickup Scheduling plugin integrates a comprehensive checkout calendar into your WooCommerce store. This calendar empowers customers to select their preferred delivery or pickup dates. The available days of the week for customers to choose from are configured based on your settings within the plugin.
WooCommerce Date Time Picker Plugin: This plugin also allows customers to specify the time for their order delivery or pickup. Store owners have the flexibility to create different time slots for each day of the week, enabling customers to select their preferred time. Alternatively, owners can opt to leave certain days without specific time slots, giving customers the freedom to choose any time that suits them.
WooCommerce Order Reminder Plugin: The Reminders feature ensures automatic notifications are sent to customers regarding their upcoming delivery or pickup orders. This functionality significantly enhances the professionalism of your WooCommerce store by consistently keeping customers informed about the status of their orders.
Delivery & Pickup Scheduling Features:
- Display Options: Choose the specific location on the checkout page where the date and time picker appears.
- Locale Settings: Configure your timezone, preferred date and time format, and determine the starting day of the week. This feature also enables the customization of text displayed on the website’s front end.
- Email Display Settings: Set where in the emails the customer’s selected order fulfillment date and time will appear, along with its placement within the email.
- Default Order Type: Establish the default order type your store offers—whether it’s Delivery or Pickup.
- Order Type Offered by Store: This comprehensive plugin for WooCommerce allows you to decide whether your store exclusively provides delivery, pickup, or both. This distinction can vary between websites, as some may consider a “pickup” as a form of “delivery.”
- Operating Days: Define the specific days when your WooCommerce store offers delivery or pickup services. Additionally, set the number of days in advance customers can place their orders for delivery/pickup, providing maximum flexibility.
- Operating Times: Set individual times for each day that you plan to offer delivery or pickup services. These settings can function independently of each other.
- Reminders: Automate the process of sending reminder emails to customers about their upcoming orders.
- Customer Note: Display a message to the customer below the date and time picker fields. This can be utilized to show your store address for pickup orders, for instance.
- Localization Settings: Customize various text elements on the website. You can replace terms like “Delivery” with “We Deliver” and adjust the calendar language to use your native text for days and months.
- Locations: Establish delivery or pickup locations that customers can select to receive their orders.
How Delivery & Pickup Scheduling Works
Once activated in the General settings, the plugin operates by integrating a Switcher onto the checkout page, allowing customers to toggle between “Delivery” and “Pickup” options.
It introduces both a datepicker and a timepicker field. Customers can select their preferred date using the calendar within the date picker field and also choose a desired time using the time picker field.
Furthermore, it offers the flexibility to designate both of these fields as required or to disable either one of them.
If a customer switches their order to “Delivery,” all “local pickup” shipping methods are eliminated. Conversely, when they opt for “Pickup,” ONLY the “local pickup” shipping methods are made available again.
